Trigger for Gato and Third Assassin?

I managed to unlock the Fortress of Spirits earlier on during the fourth year thanks to the ghost from the guts trial and I've been grinding this area for quite a while. Despite that, Gato hasn't appear even though I've already reached the seventh year. I am guessing it's because the third assassin hasn't shown up yet?

The third assassin is possessing Takeda-sensei. You meet it at school. Don't know if there's any trigger at all. Have you defeated the fairy world boss?

Were you nice to Assiette? You have to be nice to her or the plot stops. Otherwise, your stats aren't high enough to trigger the third assassin.

year 4: human realm
year 5: fairy realm
year 6: spirit realm
year 7: hell realm
year 8: after assiette "returns to france"

In year 7 Gato is only going to appear once and in hell realm. Assuming you were nice to Assiette, you should automatically meet the assassin that leads you to the hell realm.

Do I have to befriend Assiette? I was nice to her when events with her triggered but I never bothered to find her or anything. What are the stats required? I've already maxed out a few of her stats.

I'm in year 7 but the assassin for the Spirit Realm hasn't even appear yet. Gato doesn't appear when I venture at the Spirit Realm either.

Assiette isn't a friend you can meet. She's the girl in a wheelchair when you first meet her. The second time you see her, you have to greet her or the plot will stop. It sounds like you didn't greet her near the beginning of year 4. If you did greet Assiette, then you don't have the right stats to trigger the third assassin.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure Gateau and the resistance bosses only show up in their respective years in respective realms. Like even if you’re in year 7, since that is past year 6, he won’t appear in the spirit world, he’ll only appear in the hell world. So you’ll just have to wait for the next assasin.

I defeated Gato in both the human and fairy realm during year 5. He didn't appear in the fairy realm until I defeated him in the human realm.

They don't appear in specific year. They appear after specific year and go consequently. Probably, if you defeated one boss, the next won't appear untill next year. As for assassins - I think I defeated Napage and Sabayon in the same year.

Maybe your Morals are too low? I can't think of any other reason the assassin isn't showing up.

I can pull some information from the Japanese wiki related to the stats to make the third assasian to appear, but someone better than me at Japanese would be able to provide a more precise explanation:
"第3の刺客（幽玄のナパージュ）
4年目10月以降、第2の刺客から1ヶ月以上経過して、以下のいずれかの条件を満たしている
プリンセスフラグイベントが発生している
魅力≧600or週数*2、気品≧540or週数*1.8、カリスマ≧480or週数*1.6、精神力≧420or週数*1.4、知力≧360or週数*1.2、愛情≧50、道徳心＞0"

I think that means that you can get this event starting in year 4 on October 1st, as long as it's been one month since the last assasination attempt.
You need to either be:
1) Getting the Princess related events with Prince Aspar (kind of redundant, since they have similar stat requirement values), or
2)Have the Stats:
Attractiveness >= 650 OR (Whatever number week it is)*2
(Meaning that means that Attractiveness either has to be higher than 650 OR higher than what the current week it is since the game began multiplied by 2 is.
Elegance >= 585 OR (Week Number)*1.8
Charisma >= 520 OR (Week Number)*1.6
Intelligence >= 455 OR (Week Number *1.4
Guts >= 390 OR (Week Number)*1.2
Affection >= 50
Morality > 0

Your issue seems to be with Morality being at -78.

Your issue seems to be with Morality being at -78.

I guess that makes sense. There's no point in sending assassins if the princess candidate isn't fulfilling the requirements of becoming a princess.

Yeah, I cringed when I saw that the only issue was a -78 morality. All of her other stats are so high! I think you're on your way to an adventuring-related ending, but you may wanna check with the fortune teller if you're on the way for a bad ending. Some of them trigger with super low morality.
Though in that case, you could get a rare achievement...

Oh well, I could just load a previous save if I can't make it. I think there's still time to increase her morality to zero though. I've replaced all of her schedule to volunteer work. Her morality should increase by around 10 per month. She might still make it before the final year.
