Report a translation problem
And you're right, CFK did a horrible job of the translation, which is largely because their grasp of the English language and being able to translate Japanese into English is about on part with taking Japanese, translating it to Korean, and then into English, through Google Translate. Plus they butchered the code, removed content, and altered the gameplay in each release, albeit in ways only a diehard fan of the series will notice.
Course localization companies do this all the time, which is why you're better off playing the original with the translation made by fans who adore the source material and love the series they are translating and actually play the games and video games in general, than that of a soulless corporation who does not play video games, does not see the customer as more than walking ATMs, and will butcher the source material and translation through censorship and the forcing of whatever political agenda happens to be part of that corporation's culture to the point where at this point in time an increasing number of Japanese companies are getting pretty fed up with bakagaijin screwing with their bottom line.
The Japanese do not care about non-Japanese politics unless it directly concerns the Japanese, and when the non-Japanese screw with their bottom line, their IP, whatever, they will be infuriated. And I don't think Gainax is happy with how CFK happens to be screwing with their IP, considering CFK has made zero updates since making this game unplayable on Windows 10 and thus might no longer have ties with them.
Who knows? Companies usually only do bundle deals when they're in financial trouble or a series isn't doing well.
Where would one find this fan translated version? I hear people reference it and I've been playing PM5 on here since it came out for steam but haven't been able to find the fan translation.
But for yourself, who is bothered by the poor translations, I would stay away from the steam version and play the fan version (though i have yet to actually find a fan translated version).
