"no internet connection"

as you can imagine by the fact i'm writing this i obviously have an internet connection, altho this game doesn't seem to think so cuz that's all i get when i try to launch it. any ideas how i can fix this? and yes i verified my files so i'm fresh outta ideas

no the game server was still up and running after december. I was recently playing it a week ago. This game was still available

This game is unavailable for me in last week. "No internet connection" error when i just starting the game.

it seems they removed the game for purchase. i can't play it anymore.

Yeah last year the game was set to sunset on steam in December 2023 along with Modern Combat Five. However for whatever reason the games remained up and running with their servers until a few months ago. Modern Combat Five is still playable via Microsoft version but if you never did an account transfer from steam to Microsoft, then you would have to start your progress from scratch. MCV is officially gone and unplayable. There's no Microsoft version for it. So unless there is a petition for another company to pick up MCV and revive it, as far as we know it's dead
