People moaned for ages that there are cutscenes, and that cutscenes don't belong in a Half-Life related game. So they released the game without any cutscenes and then people complained that there are no cutscenes! There's just no pleasing some people.

Then they kindly provided the same epic experience that Valve gave us by announcing long release delays with no information provided in line with the Half-Life 2 franchise. But unlike Valve who failed to release Episode 3 after years, the HDTF team surprised us doubters by actually releasing the game within a two year timeframe.

Sure, it may be riddled bugs at the moment, but that's down to your individual perspective. For intellectuals these are actually advanced features, aimed at testing peoples ability to solve them to progress, modernizing the puzzle dynamic introduced in Half-Life 2 over a decade ago.

There are dozens of reasons why not to buy and try this game, but over 50,000 reasons why you should. If you have the disposable income you could do worse than checking this game out. You'll be entertained for either the right or wrong reasons, but still entertained nonetheless.
