First Playthrough?
For my first playthrough? which mode should I pick, Kogal Mode or Princess mode? I like challenges but too much grinding isn't really my type either.
for a point of view, I like "Legend of Queen Opala Origin" style which lets you wander off hard stages for you to just walk about avoiding enemies just to end up getting game over afterwards but "unable to leave without killing the boss" in this game kinda concerns me
And which route Should i go for first? go pure or just deep and dirty? please help. Thanks in advance.

Go for "Princess". "Princess" basically means it plays like a "normal" RPG. There is not that much grinding but you need to use your brain in boss fights and use the right equipment to counter debuffs and status effects against certain enemies.
Thats about it. "Kogal" is for players who just want to go to all the sex scenes without the chance of ever losing in the RPG fights or any kind of challenge.
Its pretty boring in my opinion.

As for route, i would recommend going for the pure route first, its easier on Princess then on "true Princess" and then sl.ut it up for playthrough 2.

Also "pure" means REALLY pure. You need to maintain a Sl.ut level of 0 for the whole game, so you cant witness or have a single H event.

Also the "purity dress" you need for that ending and the achievment only is available on Princess and up , not on Kogal, so a "pure" run on Kogal is pointless.

Most people would say go for the Pure route on Princess Mode first because its easier than going through he True Princess mode (unlocks after you finish the first playthrough). But for me I think it's better to go for Kogal mode and learn the basic of the game first. Know where to get certain items, know when to trigger events and h-scene so that you don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up your second playthrough. If you really like challenges then sure, go for Pure route on Princess Mode. The only advice I can give is to save before every dungeon, not before bossfight, since the dungeon is not a long maze-kind of dungeon, but the bossfight can be really tough if you are underleved and don't know how to counter them.

first run was pure on princess, makes pure run easier
cause youll be gear locking yourself, youll want to do that on regular princess mode
rather than "true"mode

if your really tweeked by grinding, check my cheating thread
and edit the params on the princess dress (first in game, first in file)
makes it almost impossible to lose a battle, and all but the end game bosses
will be 1-hit kill
(get the rookie earrings from the purple haired vendor near the well, to reduce confuse by bats)
(straw figure reduces charm from succubi, found on bones in decayd town)

avoid heart markers, the artist quest can be done,
you can get the maid outfit but stop there
dont do the quest from green guy in vanguard town

most other S. stuff is obvious, or locked by not having S lvls or wearing S req outfits

if your trying to get as many outfits in the first run as you can,
ignore those that require eggs, or the rune cube, as you cant farm those materials
(eggs can be farmed on only S. runs)
(best to get meltys sword in first run, cause each run nets you 1 cube i think)

if your unsure, make a save set off from your normal 2-3 slot progress saves
incase a conversation results in S. and before boss fights

There are 3 rune cubes in a first playthrough, 4 in each after that.

i started Princess and went full "normal" (normal in these games means avoiding any and all purity and erasing the word "No" from vocabulary)
afterwards ive beaten True Princess "pure" starting on round 2 with level 35, compared to beating prologue on lvl 35 Extremely easy, in fact there's only 3 enemies I'd call hard:
chicken (fast) and cyclops (stun) on dude-world and Esmeralda
dude-world is an open-map-battle area (VH-style) where you can punch air when you attack without any target

as long as you wear the Purity outfit from -start- (from previous playthrough) then True Princess is easy because hardly anything can damage you (most mobs use h-attacks which the outfit blocks)

Pure run on Princess Mode does not need grind. Seriously.

Playing Pure Route on first run Princess Mode is a really fun way to play. You just have to know the game, the enemies, and the things you need. Most people have trouble with the first dungeon, but there is a simple way to clear it.

You need to grab the Ruby Ring in your room during the prologue, which can be sold for $1500. Then when your dad gives you the $1000, you sell the Ruby Ring, then buy Gladius from the Weapon Shop, which allows you to one-shot goblins. After that you will want to go to the plains to pick Green Herbs and sell them until you have $300, then you buy Rookie Earrings which resist Confusion cause Bats spam confusion. At this point, go to cave and kill all mobs in the map while wearing Adventurer Clothes. This will give full SP, giving you Water Shot. At this point, you just need to spam Water Shot on the Goblin Boss and you win. Now you can farm or continue. For the Slime Boss, I recommend picking a few Green Herbs and crafting some Quality Herbs that heal for 75hp. At this point, you should still be one-shotting slimes. When you reach mountains, don't fight any enemies, gather 2 pelts first from the map and exit, and go craft a Wizard Robe. This will teach you Fire Shot which Lamia Boss is weak against. Use water against the lizards. For the tower, don't fight any enemies, instead grab Holy Water, then craft Nun Outfit. This teaches Wind Shot. Gargoyle Boss is weak against Fire btw and The werewolves are neutral to all damage, so just go all out against them. By now, you have the 3 Elemental Shots so the rest of the game will be a breeze if you know who is weak to what (Fire beats Wind, Wind beats Water, Water beats Fire). Next is Underground Succubus Forest, the succubi are weak to fire. The Succubi Boss are weak to water and wind (left-> water, right -> wind). Go to the right of the boss map of the Succubus Forest to reach the village and talk to NPC in middle to get Purity Dress. Once you get Purity Dress, max it ASAP because it will make or break your game, causing bosses to deal significantly less damage. Next is the tower, where you fight your third sister, she weak against Water, the orcs are neutral to all damage. Next is the ice mountain, you get the drill, (water weak to wind). Your second sister is water attribute as well. Finally, you reach demon lord castle. Monsters in there are wind-attribute so use fire. Make sure to fight Cenus (red blob) for Jojo meme reference (some paths are hidden, you need to look at edges of walls). You must use Light Saber or he will Jojo you to heaven. Your first sister weak against fire currently and the actual boss in the castle is weak to light. After defeating Cenus, go out and heal, then go back to fight sister, and make sure you grab the Rune Essence before going out. You need the Melty Sword for which you need to defeat your sister and watch the cutscene with the Demon Lord before you can get the blacksmith in the ice area to forge it. After beating him and all the good stuff, your final map will appear, Hyperspace. MAKE SURE TO DO ALFREDO PATH FIRST. Once you go into battle with Meltys, you are locked into the map unless you lose. You not only get a bunch of materials, after clearing it, he lends you his sword Raging Tempest. It's not that good, but you can get the blacksmith to reforge it into Rune Sword, the Ultima weapon of the game, so after you finish his path, get out of there ASAP. Then from here on, it's easy. Spam Light Saber on the final boss and laugh. Then cry once you begin True Princess Mode. Make sure to equip Glass Heels for some extra exp if you are going for True Princess Mode during NG+ because the enemies all get a buff and new enemies also appear. They CAN easily kill you even if you easily beat final boss.

I think he means the "Rune Cube". One is in the underground castle and the last three are in the final dungeon.
