Yeah I still cant fix it. It just does not seem to recognise the Oculus room space. It tries to make you set it up through Steam VR and that just does not work with the Quest 2. It doesnt have the base stations or anything else the VR is looking for. So basically locked out by headset. I know they do not specifically list the Quest 2 as compat, but when plugged in through the link its essentially a Rift S, so I wonder if it works the Rift S at all either or its just Oculus hostile.
game only supports rift and rifts and vive and valve. the quests arnt advanced nor powerful enough to run the game on its own. i hate quest players but its hilarious how you think a portable vr can handle big vr games for pc
I think you are the one who is misunderstanding. I am not trying to run this stuff on the Quest hardware. That............that isn't how it works.
The Quest 2 can be plugged into a PC to function as a PC headset, its one of its selling points. Why would you think I was trying to run it using the Quest 2's onboard hardware?
The Quest 2 functions like a Rift S when hooked up to the PC via a link cable, it uses my PC hardware. All the other games that I have that support the Rift S function perfectly (to be clear here, again, when you are using a link cable, it is not running using the Quest 2 hardware, you are running using your PC hardware) so I tried this game expecting it would work too. The problem is not that it is trying to run using the Quests on board hardware (see above where the link cable uses your PC hardware), the problem is with getting this specific game to recognise the guardian field for room space.
What exasperates me and worries me is that, with your already stated hatred for Quest users, you are just jumping into any thread where anyone mentions trying to run a Quest through Oculus Link to play games from their PC and just going "Hur hur, stupid Quest user not understanding PC games cannot run on Quest hardware. So stupid, so uninformed. Hur. Quest hardware no support PC gaming. Hur."
At least learn a little about Oculus Link before you derp up a conversation.
Lol you got owned.
Ooh! I will have to give this a shot and see if it works.
Are you experiencing any lags playing this on quest 2 with vritual desktop?
For me it's like the in-game camera is a second behind my head movement. Other games work fine.
