No sound

Hello, This game looks great. I am having a problem though I have absolutely no sound, no music, no effects, nothing. I dont know what the issue is as all my other games all work fine. I really want to like this game......

hi bobbydablue, this is very strange!
can you check if while playing, game window is still focused? try to click on it with your mouse

uhm...

1- check your windows "volume mixer" (right click on speaker icon in task bar) while playing game : scroll all entries to see if anyone is muted
2- launch the game having your hmd disconnected from your pc and check if you can hear sounds from your pc/monitor/tv
3- check in game volume (options panel in main map)

This is quite the old thread, but I had no sound on first launch. This was fixed when I selected the mirrored game window on my desktop (it had started minimized behind other windows). Could be a bug/hidden setting with how the game is compiled and launched.

Just checked. The SteamVR window always comes up focused above the game, so yeah, happening every time.

Sorry havent replied, I have my VR stuff packed up for the time being. If i ever get it working I will post

Had the same problem. Look for your Antivirus. My Kaspersky was blocking the sound signal when the game got started. Hope this information is helpful

I have the same issue... NO sound in game... However, when i hit oculus Home button, i can hear the game sound, but can t play obviously.. i am about to ask for refund

ok got it worked switching manually output sound from virtual to normal !! don t know why it plugged that way !! nevermind.. let s try this !!
