I agree. Dustborn has a lot of interesting things to talk about. Like that part in chapter 2 where Pax got an entire camp of drug growers selfishly killed because she just wanted a meme.

Yeah I loved it when the team rushes into Purity and fights their way through to the data terminal. Their final opponent is the Adjunct, one of the highest ranking Puritan soldiers, but even he is defeated by their teamwork. Although the team manages to acquire the data, this springs a trap that shoots Pax's shoulder.

I really like how they kidnap a young child. placing the child in danger with their fugitive status and constant combat with absolute disregard, and never try to locate the child's parents its so new age.

And keep the new found pet around to distract other crew members from their constant depression and arguments with each other, and the combat is so good with the base ball bat, you hide behind walls and the base ball bat fly's magically through them hitting the helpless enemy.

Dustborn is a window to a woke mindset:

1. When in Pax's home town some girl (who is supposedly affected by echoes) accuses Pax of messing with everyone's head, what does Pax do? Messes with everyone's head using "Discord" power to convince everyone that mentioned girl is just insane and thus her accusations aren't true. Yeah, it's definitely fine to engage in those very things you are accused of if you can just convince everone else that you are not doing them.

2. Also, the very fact that fear of abnormals is presented just a result of "echoes" (that are allegory for misinformation), and not, you know, the actual abilities of abnormals that can mess with people's mind. Devs clearly can't fathom that people can have real reasons for fear something.

3. Oh, and speaking about abilities. Pax regularly uses her own Vox power in a fight. And at the same time she scolds "Justice" for "weaponizing abnormals". Yeah, it's okay when we do it, not okay when others do.

While there are many things in this game i can complain about on a political fashion, the most insulting thing i have seen from this game is the combat. It is slower than a chess match between two comatose patients. I have never seen something as insulting as the combat system of this game, sure i could complain about cutscenes, songs, dialogue but the levels of insult of those pale in comparison.

This just shows that politically motivated people can't create anything good even if their life depended on it.
