As for why the left is obsessed with vitiligo, its an easy disability to add to their games for good boy points that or its one of their fetishes.

in what world is vitiligo a disability lol

i do appreciate that you're insinuating having white skin is a disability though, perhaps you have more in common with the devs than you thought lmao

oh so sorry its a "chronic autoimmune disorder" still an easy thing to add to get them ESG points

Liberals view these things in a hierarchy of victimhood, so the more victim identities they can "stack" on a character, the better. Get ready for more video game characters that are black, Indigenous, gay, trans, disabled, mentally ill etc.

They have one character with vitiligo and I can only think of one line where she barely mentions it in the entire game. That's not being obsessed. That's just having a character with vitiligo.

Should have more of an obsession with going on a diet.

It's funny how they all hate white people, but they put black people with a skin disorder which is condition that looks like a disease turning them white.

Is that just so crazy or is it me???? Why not push dark skinned blacks as their strong characters???

It works like this:

ESG rating agencies, DEI oriented funds and investors, the unnelected bureaucrats in Brussels, the WEF and similar "lets enshittify the human condition" organizations have a scoring system in place where every, ahem, effort to signal virtue by adding another, ahem, diversity gets a media product a certain number of points.

The more points they score the more money the "studios" get from them to buy avocado sandwiches and soy lattes with.

It would be interesting, though, if there are different numbers of points handed out for different... diversities.

Lets hope that somebody leaks something at some point.

Edit: "pronouns" seem to get them a lot of points, I think... can't think of another reason why this weird nonsense is so ubiquituous.

vitiligo is such a strange thing to add when it only affects up to 1% of the population.

theres so many other things they could add before that, but they wont bc they havent thought about it and are just jumping on the bandwagon like the idiots they are.

The answer is simple: Vitiligo is a rare condition, and emphasizing it as a diversity prop is how the average modern socialists validate their continued "fight" for "representation" in media.

This particular weird fetishization of Vitiligo started with Domino's race-swapping in the Deadpool 2 movie. The usual suspects saw that and went, "Wow! Such diversity, much inclusive!" Since then, the DEI advocates have tried to make characters with Vitiligo look cool but never succeeded. And it always ends up being cringe-worthy because they never portray Vitiligo as a skin condition that some people unfortunately have. It's always treated as a makeup prop they think all POCs want to put on their characters.

TL;DR: the socialists think Vitilligo is cool and fetishize it; that's why it's become a diversity prop which you see in explicitly DEI-themed works of "art." You'll see more of it in the future.

Well said.

It's the rule of the oppression olympics - the more victimhood points you rack up, the better a person you are. And consequently, people who portray you in entertainment deserve bigger pats on the back for recognizing that.

Sometimes they do that.

They turned the Paladin from Diablo 2 to be as "African" looking as possible, bordering on stereotype, while the original Paladin looked like Denzel Washington lol.

Vitiligo is almost certainly on some kind of list that BlackRock or other firms use when handing out money for "diverse" projects, nothing else really explains why such a rare skin condition appears in so many of these woke games.
