I played this studio's previous games. They were quite decent. What happened?
Did Red Thread Games suffer from a very severe and sudden case of the Ship of Theseus? Did all staff get replaced and only the name remains?

Maybe or they decided to defraud the norwegian government and EU, so they created what they knew that those governments would fund.

Reading this I am quite certain it is meant to defraud the EU. This is the kind of bulls hit that the EU loves to throw money at.

The development started 2019. So I don't know if that's the reason, but it might have contributed.

In an interview the devs specifically state that they were inspired to make the game because of Trump's presidential win.
