This game is releasing against Black Myth Wukong - hope they change release window

I had this wish listed as it looked interesting and I generally ignore the alt-right haters that hate on a game based on premise of been ‘too diverse’. Staying neutral & I’m happy to play any game provided it’s good value for money entertaining etc.

But this game choosing a release date that directly conflicts with Black Myth Wukong is a bit unfortunate. I’m only speaking for myself here but I ope devs change release date here. Had the game picked a better release date with the standard 10% launch discount I would’ve picked up the game to check it out.

I'm not attracted to most of the other characters but that's a normal thing, you don't have to be attracted to everything you see at any given time. The idea behind this game is cringe, bunch of DIE freaks fighting what? "Trumps" world order?
Walking Dead has post apocalyptic scenery, all humans looked fine, no spot ridden or albino or overweight or whatever sick and unhealthy. it had some issues, I dont get the main character it should of been a white girl but otherwise its not a bad game

... You don't have to lie this hard bro, if you down bad for videogame people you can just say that, it's 2024 lmao. (Btw no troll this takes place in a fantasy environment so some characters are literally pure fantasy, the albino you're talking about isn't a real albino just a race that is completely white and there's literally no other character like that in the demo because the character's own race is really rare within the world) And there are definitely both sick and overweight people in the Walking Dead, you just clearly never played it, that's not how an apocalypse works. Are you maybe thinking of the show? That's not a good bar of quality for the media since everyone hates that thing outside of the first season... what you're describing is definitely in the games and comics though. And the main character in this male writer's games (who is known as one of the best writer's in the industry and is the lead writer and director of this game) is never a white girl because there's only so much you can do storywise with that background. The reason is just because of the background experience your character can have by not being white, in terms of racial strife and underdog mentality. You just can't tell those stories with a white person, if you don't like those stories and you wanna scream woke that's fine but this guy's been making incredible stories fashioned behind the ideas you're getting mad about since the late 90s and revolutionized a genre of games behind said ideas. (He's also not politically correct despite what you think because his last game featured a pretty lady who'd every other word was a curse in either her dialect or familiar languages) And yes, this game is directed, and written chiefly by a man. Oh yeah, and they're not fighting "trump's world order" it's actually based around punk rock era politics if you've ever heard of that genre of music. Spoiler for first 10 minutes: In fact, the enciting incident never once refers to or mentions Trump in anyway and is actually tied to altered history ala Assassin's Creed in which in the 60s, Jackie O dies instead of Kennedy so Kennedy lives out his tenure as president and that brings upon the world state. (Not much is known in terms of how this world got so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but that's the beauty of his games, learning about the world state dynamically by exploring it and the pasts of the characters) And if any of that real breakdown interested you, give it a shot and leave your politics at the door, it even has pretty fun combat which NEVER HAPPENS for an adventure game. (And like I said, you will find someone attractive in this, it's just a case of different strokes for different folks, the character models are actually all really well done whether you like pretty black lady or not there's something in here for everyone including the women of all creeds) I only played 40 minutes of this and already what I experienced kicks the crapp out of any story I've played in 2023, mind you don't take that lightly, I have 500+ games in my steam account alone. If you ever played mass effect and wanted every choice you made to matter, and impact the story at all times, and you don't mind that this is a pretty low budget affair where more money is put into gameplay systems + cel shading on characters and environment, and less money on ultra detailed environments or character models, then you really should give this demo a shot, wholeheartedly. Whether the rest of the game pans out who knows, but Tornquist has yet to disappoint the gaming industry and his team knows how to put together his vision everytime. (And if you haven't played the longest journey or dreamfall, those are some of the best stories in gaming outside of Drakengard 2) Do be warned they're still ironing out bugs so you will find some in this 40 minute demo at some point.

Btw, seeing the Beneath A Steel Sky remake in your recently played... you'd probably be way into this if you give it a shot. Didn't know you were already kinda into adventure games. (Also still definitely recommend The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey)
