SBS 180 VR videos too close, is there a way to zoom out even further?

I often find that when watching VR videos (SBS 180) that its way too close to my face, even when zoomed all the way out. I feel like I'm about to get crosseyed watching it. Is there a way to zoom out further? I know it's possible, because when I press a button to bring up the interface, it appears that the video zooms out more and is much more easier on the eyes.

when you open the menu in SBS 180 mode the video switches to mono mode and basically becomes a flat view and loses its depth, its essentially no longer VR and just a regular video, if that's what you prefer you can just switch the view to mono in the settings.
