I know that in theory you already can use Talespire for that, but as thewildbundy stated, there are not enough miniatures available right now.
For example Rangers of Shadow Deep (derived from Frostgrave) is a solo friendly/coop narrative driven skirmish/rpg-like hybrid that fits especially well with Talespire because beyond the four to eight members of your party/warband you don’t particularly worry about duplicate Gnolls, Zombies, Spiders, etc. Whereas Mordheim which is more traditional “warband vs Warband” is a little more challenging (but not impossible) to put together full rosters using unique minis.
Personally the duplicate mini situation doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of some the games I play and in some cases actually fits well. Like in OPR’s Age of Fantasy I could put together say a Warband from the Chivalrous Kingdom (basically Warhammer Bretonnia) with a leader, champion, sorceress, three men-at-arms, three crossbowmen, and a rabble of peasants. As the men-at-arms/crossbowmen are identically equipped rank and file troops they would look similar anyway. Meanwhile the hero types and assorted peasants (talespire’s npc collection is pretty good here) give me a variety so as not to be boring.
Potential miniatures issues aside you can’t say Talespire doesn’t allow you to put together amazing battlegrounds. You want to fight on a plain with a couple of hills breaking LoS? That’s easy. You want to battle your way up a winding cliff pass, festering swamp, decayed ruin, city docks, gothic castle, etc? Also easy, because even if you don’t build it yourself I bet someone has already uploaded something to Tales Tavern or Tales Bazaar that will work perfectly. So yes Talespire has already implemented tabletip skirmish games, albeit with “currently” limited miniatures, non-integrated rules, but an exceptional play environment.
