Yeah I tried for several hours. Seems either it won't connect or it incorrectly detects buttons, or it thinks two controllers are connected and will think it's getting double inputs. I tried a bunch of drivers and enable/disable bigpicture stuff, also tried using ds4windows.

So it does have PS4 controller support? I'll try to fiddle again later tonight and see if I can get it working. It could just be an isolated issue with my computer (though I haven't had this before with other games, ds4windows usually works). :)

Game does seem to have native ps4 controller support, so I'm not sure if ds4windows might be conflicting with it. That being said, the way I got it to work properly was:
- Disable steam input (so it doesn't mess around with the controller) for the game
- By default game always has Xbox controller chosen in the system -> controller menu, switching that to PS manually fixes the button mapping to work properly. Instead of buttons being totally misconfigured.

I have the same problems than the opener. First minute i thought, what the hell is this. All Buttons do a jump action, but sometimes Attack or use Items. Top Button not even react on any input.

I will try out it without DS4Windows again.

Update: It worked!

1. deactivate DS4Windows in the Steamlibrary settings. (right click on the game)
2. use the ingame options to set Controller to "PS".

As long you're using the Default settings "Xbox", the game will still struggle with your input. Possibly this was the reason for double-actions in the previous try. When you start with DS4W and the default settings, the game just use both sources. :)

my controller was working fine once i switched it to xbox input. now the game doesnt pick up ANY of my controller inputs (steam big picture mode still does so the controller is connected

update: the game now only detects the controllers' inputs when the controller is connected by a USB cable. other similar games like Death's Gambit work just fine through bluetooth and steam big picture mode does as well

the demo didn't work at time of posting, but full release works fine with my ps4 controller

Was working until today w/ Switch Pro Controller w/ in-game system setting to Xbox and now its no longer working. Reinstall did not fix.

Found 2 options for a fix.

1. Load GloSC v.2.06 & Link Vigil into Steam (Don't forget to apply your Steam Control Profile to the new GloSC Vigil shortcut) works w/ Switch Pro Controller.

or

2. Remap Controller w/ Keyboard shortcuts but sadly no analog support so you will have to use WASD :(

imo go w/ option 1 so you have full analog joy support.
