How do people not win as slavs?

Slavs are a good faction, you just have to be good at micro. Every faction seems very balanced in my opinion.

They have low armor low health but fast ? horse archers are bad, slings kill them soo easy they are easy to counter they are just bad, their weakness are exploitable by all the other factions units thats why they lose this is my opinion ofcourse.

Yeah, as a saxon main I found that my inf can pound slavs with ease. Then again my last few opponents neglected upgrades, blobed up, and just expected pure numbers to win the day.

Me too, although i seem to become a Viking Player.
While i think that a Spearmen and Berserk combo is enough to pretty much counter anything you encounter, i really dig their Archers as they are incredible fun with their fastshot.
They just destroy a unit before it arrived at their location.
I like them.
I would love if Slavs had better cavalry though. I feel like they underperform compared to the german cavalry. Mounted Archers are bad, Spearcavalry isnt strong enough.
Dont know but, the rest is just ok.
I dig their shield infantry though, they are a good early unit and even stay solid lategame.

horse archers suck xD they fire super slow and do next to no damage. they're worse then longbow men and longbowmen suck. any archer unit kill them outright with not real struggle. if your horse archers are doing good its most likely cause either you was able to shut down his archers or it's just a new player who isn't using archers. atm only real awesome thing about slavs are thier archers, outside off that they're the weakest faction atm.
German is the strongest faction atm, then viking then anglo-saxsons.

Totally possible. I havent played enough to rule it out. But playing the Slavs i feeled like their Cavalry is too weak. I mean, its what the faction is focussed around, which then seems a bit weird considering that it hardly can compete with its cavalry.
The germans overall felt stronger with their cavalry. Especially since the faction isnt focussed around it but a good allrounder.

The Greman cav have lvl 1 standard armor by default, you cant use slav cav to fight a cav battle (against german cav with armor upgrade) if they have no armor, German cav usually have lvl 1 or even lvl 2 upgrade since their armor is cheap, you need to give your slav cav lvl 1 upgrade at least, then you will find them become quite tanky

German Cav is t3, so they are MUCH harder to get than Slavic cav. They kind of need to be good to come that late.

Horse archers are really good, but they are countered by enemy ranged because of their small unit count and probably because they are huge targets. Horse archers strength is in their ability to pick melee that can never catch them apart. Also, once you have the composite bow upgrade from the archery, they can really put out some pain.
