How is the fighting?

I'm asking because in games like Resident Evil 2 and the like, I'm getting constantly stressed out because I'm not good at survival horror with tanky, returning enemies?

How did you experience the fights, are they short and easy or more like, you miss, you reload?

Enemies you kill during a chapter do not respawn. To be honest, most of the time you can outrun mobs or sneak past them. The combat in this game is not difficult and is made easier once you get adequate weapons (careful, basic weapons have a limited durability).
Tip : once you get a vehicle, you can use it to ram hostiles as much as you want...

I can confirm, it is easy to deal with them. Not all can be killed, but that’s no big deal.

I don't like too much how the melee combat works but there's a few other ways to deal with enemies. There's traps, strange items to use at your advantage, ram them with the Muvel(the truck), stealth to sneak past them and later a bolt action rifle. if there's only one you can do it but when there's two or three enemies stealth is your best way to deal with them.
