Sadly, I believe this is connected to the following requirement of German laws in regards to video games:

Game developers/studios are responsible for filling out this questionnaire in order for their game to not be "delisted" on Steam. I suspect that this is also the case here since it apparently also disappeared in November 2024.
I checked another website for the officially delisted games in Germany, but Welcome to The Game II does not seem to be part of it:

So, unless the studio is willing to fill out the questionnaire, the game will stay unavailable in Germany.
NOOOO I JUST FOUND IT AND I NEED IT

It's literally only a few minutes of filling out some forms. A few sold copies would already be enough to cover the "cost".

But can't write a comment related to this change of law without ranting about it. F Germany's Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. This is such an objectively stupid change that simply proofs there are some people working there that should have no responsibility regarding digital media at all. This change doesn't do anything but disrespect video games as an art form and screws over adults. Children can still buy CS:GO, Call of Duty and manipulating gambling simulators like NBA 2Kwhatever, but at least adults can't buy games random games for no reason. Literally games like Tanglewood can't be bought anymore. This law should be reverted and responsible people should be literally fired for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I completely agree with you. There's a bunch of crap out there that gets through despite their regulations. WTTG2 has fallen victim to these oh so omniscient nutters. The fact that there are kiddies playing CS:GO or Minecraft shooters with real money stakes doesn't seem to bother them at all! But the main thing is that a few random players are annoyed that a title they find interesting is no longer allowed to be listed. Ah well, that's how problems are solved in Germany these days. It's a disgrace, it's just a giant disgrace and a neat hint of big discapacity.

I don't want to rub any more salt in the wound, but I'm playing again and it was definitely worth buying it years ago. If there are any changes due to the listing, grab it.

While I understand what you mean with "WTTG2 has fallen victim", I just want to clarify, the biggest victims are German adult[b/] citizens not being able to buy random games. While the devs are at least partly at fault themselves for not doing the 10 minutes age restriction survey (doesn't matter how stupid), the citizens simply wanting to buy and play a game are screwed without any option other than literal illegal piracy. I always want to clarify for things like this when people are being hurt that literally did nothing, can't do nothing and are screwed for no reason, because that's pretty much worst case scenario for any law or regulation that could enter into force. And that's the undeniably biggest result of this idiotic regulation.
