Is this game complex and boring?
I'm watching some YouTubers playing for the first time and it seems, differently from Welcome to The Game, this game is too complex that becomes boring and tedious... Welcome To The Game I was easy to learn and to play, but that second one it seems really boring.

WtTG 1 is very simplistic in comparison, all the mechanics are explained and can be grasped in 10 minutes. WtTG 2 only gives partial/vague/misleading instructions and the full extent of the game's rules can only be learned through extensive trial&error, or by reading online guides (which might also contain speculations and incorrect facts). It is hard to practice dealing with the 'threats', since they only start showing up after 30 minutes of playtime, and any mistake means instant death. This time investment makes the game very tense, but also tedious, unless you save-scum.

"It is unbelievably punishing to die. If it takes hours and hours to make progress in the game... that is the most absurdly difficult roguelike in the world then." --- Markiplier. He streamed more than 16 hours, eventually resorting to minicking pro speedrunner strats, giving up after multiple long runs failed due to non-obvious reasons not covered by the guides.

I saw some players playing,
this game is boring.
1 was better.

1 was more simplistic - there was only 1 threat, all links on pages were dead, weaker minigames, no free-roam. It was much easier to understand and to beat. This one is much more elaborate. Not sure if it has more replay value though.
