If you are just aiming to beat it without doing the mad achievements, all you need for victory is the sound alarm and 2 motion sensors, one on each end of your floor. As long as you never leave your room, this gives you a guaranteed early alert, and just enough time to power the pc off, sprint around turning off all 5 lights and hide in the shower. Now you won't die due to bad rng.
To rapidly earn cash, buy a bunch of Backdoor Hacks, then trigger a hack every 60+ seconds by constantly reloading a site that's permanently offline, and jumping networks to cancel the loading animation. During a hack, the more ZoneWall lines you fail, the higher the difficulty and the higher the hackback reward will be.
To find keys, look for built-in key cues. If a site's logo is 'glowing', there is a key somewhere on the site. And if a page loads but the blue progress bar stays there for an extra second, there is a key on that page. The $375 Key Cue just makes it easier.
To avoid the police, all you have to do is juggle between two wifi networks fast enough to never pass their detection interval (and betting your run on the detection percentage). This google doc[docs.google.com] has all the numbers.
Dont get me wrong if games NEED to Explain some solution and dont do it thats really bad.
This game is entirely Built upon to learn from your mistakes. The Explanation is completely there. Adam Tells you the basics.
Your Desktop informs you of all the threats.
The rest is on your own and i love games that do that. If there would be a effing dialoque everytime something new happens... then firstly it would defeat the sense of horror.
This Game is so unsettling because you just vaguely know what to expect. But how you get out of it is entirely on you.
Granted that may not be for everyone. But spewing hate just because you lack the intuition to grasp very basic mechanics... yeah its easier than getting ♥♥♥♥ done right?
Noir go away if you turn around for 15 seconds. Maybe even less. The '30' in the document is excessive.
Breather goes away pretty fast if you acted fast and didn't look at him through the window. In my runs, early breathers only push the door 4 times and leave. More attempts and extra fakeouts might happen if the difficulty escalates.
But yeah, at its core, this is a time management game disguised as survival horror. It's all about timers starting and stopping - game over timer, 20 minute saving and threat cycle timer, wifi police timer, lucas break-in and search timers, noir timer, wifi cracking cooldown timers, flashlight battery timer, etc etc. To beat the game, you need to learn to keep track of all of these invisible timers in your head and know how to react efficiently whenever one goes off.
The game does lose its mystery and edge once you fully understand the clockwork behind it, but until then, it is a very interesting and atmospheric experience. Sadly, a lot of needless difficulty comes from vague/misleading instructions, resulting in a trial&error learning experience when going into it blind.
No No.. of course you need to whine if you face an obstacle you cant solve first try.
I also hate how there is no warning sign on the screen whenever you are in danger...
Oh Markiplier said it....must be true then (welcome to Fascism)
And that comment makes you what? Ignorant? The person I referred to has played most of the horror games on the industry on hardest diffuculty and keeps playing them as time goes on. He has the most experience than most of you who are typing on this forum, which is why I showed him as an example. If that experienced person/player can say that this game is the worst game he played in the industry yeah I pretty much can say the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Im not Ignorant. far the opposite. i like to form my own thoughts on something. If you dislike it fine. If i like it fine. If Markiplier dislikes it.. fine! thats legit.
But stating ohhh some dude with experience does not like it makes it not neccesarly true for all people.
Just use your effing Head people.
BTW. If it would be stated. Well Markiplier stated example 1, 2 and 3 and i think hes completely right would be an statement i would have absolutely no problem with.
On the other Hand... i hate people so go ahead and do what you want
