ridiculous bugging out with lenovo explorer headset
so im using my wmr headset after a decent time away from using it, and after my brother tried to use it with his pc, and after attempting to reconnect the controllers since they hadn't been working, my laptop screen starts to freak out and forces me to shut my laptop off to try use it again.
my laptop opened a vr steam-esque keyboard, started moving my mouse around and repeatedly flipped through my tabs, using something like the alt tab shortcut. it also messes with my spotify, rapidly changing song audio and flipping through songs. spotify was added in the period where i wasn't using my headset if that helps anything.

i have zero clue on why this is happening and it's annoying the hell out of me
this feels like a virus but im confident it isn't one.

believe it may be linked to my controllers turning off due to battery, which happens often

^but not in this manner before so its still very odd,
also the keyboard seems to be some kind of controller keyboard, and ive been able to momentarially stop it freaking out by plugging my controller in.

I'm having the same problem with an HP headset, and I tried a bunch of things and thought I had it working, but then it just started bugging out in the same way again without my changing anything.

It seemed like turning off Steam Input for a while helped, but like I said, that only worked for a while. It's mystifying.

after some experimenting, i realised the bug was caused for me by steam itself believing my vr controllers were nintendo joycons, and then freaking out because of the messed up inputs? but it corrected this while in big picture mode. since it worked in big picture mode, i was able to play vr again! im not sure if this is a permanent fix or anything, but it seems to have worked.

Big Picture Mode is a good idea; I'll try that next time I have a chance. Thanks!

This needs to be pinned. It took me 2 months to fix this.
