Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR

I can't fit my Dell headset on.
I can't fit the windows mixed reality dell headset on my head correctly. Theres always light bleed everywhere and when I try to force it in my face, it's fine but it doesn't stay on that way.

Everything is out of focus and the tracking sucks, I keep loosing tracking for whatever reason.

I mean, are you adjusting the headband correctly? Is part of it missing?

As to tracking, make sure you are playing in a decently lit room.

I've tried everything, and I'm in my living room with the windows open so idk.

So, the 'halo' should be sitting with the back down low on your head and the front up high at the top of your forehead. Set the correct IPD too (ideally check with your optician). That should sort out light bleed and focus. You should have a normally lit room for tracking (not darkened), with things in it so not just bare walls and floor. Hang some pictures, get some furniture.

I've tried that, and it's in my naturally lit living room (windows) and I have a lot of furniture. I tried every fitting position I could think of, I currently returned it and got a Vive for $400.

Well, I suppose it all depends on head and nose shape. I hope that Vive works out well for you with a better fit and you can put up with the need for those lighthouses (which is why I never got one). If you fancy a different kind of WMR set at any point I believe the Samsung and possibly the ASUS sets use a different style of band without the flip up visor.

Yeah I dunno. Honestly windows MR is great but you really need to go to a store to see what fits.

From my experience, natural lighting doesn't work well with WMR
