Dear all,
I ve seen on forums that WMR allows "Flashlight" which enable to see through the heaset cameras to see your surroundings while you are wearing it, however I don't have this option available on the menu... How do you activate it?

Hi BN | Gneu,

I am Julio from Windows Mixed Reality support team at Microsoft. I will be glad to help you get the Flashlight mode feature working with your MR headset and controllers.

This feature was included in the latest version of Windows released which was 1809. Therefore, I would like we to first check the version of Windows installed in your computer.

Please open Windows Settings > System > About. Let us know the version you have.

Note: If you version 1809 is the on showing in Windows Specifications, you could review the following to get more details about how to use the Flashlight mode feature.

make sure voice recognition is on and say Flashlight on,
Or if its not in your menu when you press the windows button on your motion controller then make sure you are running windows 10 with all the latest updates

Hi BN | Gneu,

Thank you for the details. Since the computer is in version 1803, I can tell this is the reason why Flashlight mode is not available.

The best way to update your computer if updates are not coming through Windows Settings is using our Update Assistant. Please follow the steps below to start the Update Process to 1809:

1. To update you computer click in the following link:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

2. Click in the Update Now button and proceed to download and run the applet. This will installed the Update Assistant.
3.After that click in Update and start the process. It will take some time since the process depends of your Internet Download speed.
4.Finally you will be prompted to restart your computer. After the computer finished restarting the latest version should be installed.

Note: The process will take some time since it depends of your internet download speed and computer's performance.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Julio from Microsoft.
