Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR

All games seem to see me as shorter than I am
Freedom Locomotion thinks I'm 4'11" and considering I've never seen anyone as short as me in Rec Room that wasn't *actually* less 5 feet tall, I think something's wrong with the VR scale. It's not the floor position; placing my controllers on the floor has them right where they should be, not sunken into the ground like they would be.

Maybe this is an issue with WMR itself. I don't know. All I know is that my floor height is correct but games still see me as being somewhere around 5' when I know I'm taller than 5'.

I can't find anything helpful on the internet because searching for "short" came up with people complaining about the floor height being wrong.

The enthusiasts guide has the instructions for adjusting floor height:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/troubleshooting-windows-mixed-reality

Instructions copied here:

If the floor of your Windows Mixed Reality Home doesn't feel like it's at the right height, open the Room Adjustment app from the start menu. This app will be launched once you place the app in the world. In this app, you will be directed to use the touch pad (motion controller) or direction pad (gamepad) to adjust the floor height. When the floor feels correct, use the Windows button to exit back to your Home.

Please reread my post. I stated multiple times that the floor height is correct.

Sunset Moth, the height is from the headset to the ground not your actual height so it will be some number of inches shorter than your actual height. Are you seeing an incorrect distance from headset to ground? If so, we would be happy to investigate.

Hm. I didn't think about that; I assumed FL would compensate. I'm currently waiting on a response from the Freedom Locomotion forums to see if their system is compensating for the fact the headset's position is slightly lower than my height. My eye level is a little over 5' so if it's measuring that, it's sufficiently accurate. Is there a way to see the height the headset believes it is at? If I can see that, I'll be able to tell you whether it's an issue with lack of compensation for headset and user height difference in FL and RR, or if the headset is reporting the distance improperly. Received no answer from FL team. Some of the measurements were incorrect anyways.

Never mind. Bumped with new information but re-did the test and it came out with a higher number. Not sure why it came out a whole 30cm different the second time. Still think there's something wrong but now I think it's an issue with something other than WMR itself, as I've confirmed that my height is correct in Godot by making an object exactly 165cm (my height, approximately) and checking myself against it.
