Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR

Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR

Love my Lenovo Explorer but a bunch of games don't work :(
Just got a Lenovo Explorer and I'm testing out all the VR games I already have on Steam but many of them have major issues.

~ TheBlu - Tons of static in the audio, will randomly lose tracking, stuttering
~ The Lab - Doesn't want to launch half the time or hangs up on loading screen
~ Fantastic Contraption - Freezes and crashes after about a minute of play
~ Robo Recall - Randomly crashes at a different point every time (I almost got into a mission once)
~ Superhot VR (for Oculus) - Doesn't launch at all (other Oculus games do work using Revive such as Dreamdeck, First Contact, and Robo Recall until it randomly crashes)

A bunch of games do work fine with flawless tracking and performance, even games that don't list WMR support.

I'm running a 6700k, GTX 1080, and 32GB of RAM.

I'm very happy with the hardware but if the software is going to be such a hassle I might not keep it.

the static is realtek audio driver, it's not steam causing it. It's a known issue, hoping they make a fix for it soon. Google "realtek windows 10 static" and you'll find millions of results

And it only affects that one game? I didn't have that problem when I played it on Oculus.

I guess I never thought of that.

It would be really nice if VR stuff was just universal though.

TheBlu is working with no problem for me and super hot is working fine also, i use the steam versions.

i have not tried the others games, despite of what Mintgardener said most if not all games working with vive are working with wmr you can count the not working ones with the fingers of one hand

edit, Robo Recall is an occulus game, go report this on revive bug tracker instead and not sure why you are trying to run the oculus version of superhot on openvr headset..

6600K, z170i, 1080ti, lenovo wmr
I already owned Superhot VR on Oculus so I didn't want to purchase it again.

Have you tried Fantastic Contraption? The Steam version crashes for me after a minute or two every time.

Ok I'll give it another shot.

Oculus does seem to launch randomly when I play SteamVR games. Is there a way to stop that?

I'm not sure what you're saying here. I have all my monitors and my headset plugged into my GTX 1080 with the headset plugged into the HDMI port on it.
