My headset did this last weekend out of the blue, never had an issue like it, it turns out that USB 3 has some extra power pins or something, and for some reason, my PC shutdown those pins so the headset was only detected as USB 2 and gave me an error code something like 14-1, figured out I had to shut the pc completely down, unplug the headset, and leave it unplugged, then power up thew PC, once fully booted, plug the headset back in and bingo, works perfect again.
I know USB has some thermal and power overload protection so I will assume something tripped that, and the only way to reset it, is to power off and remove all USB devices, power up and everything is all good

I tried all suggested solutions, but they can't help my situation.
Any other suggestions for this problem?
+ SteamVR displays an error prompt with these messages (same as before, and now also):

Here is the explanation of the 14-1 error...
Likely reason for the error code: Mixed Reality Portal is having trouble initializing the graphics and composition stack.
Desktop Window Manager (DWM, a key component of the Windows Graphics stack) may be crashing. Check the Application Event Log (using Event Viewer) to see if this is occurring.
Try a clean uninstall of your graphics driver, and then install the latest graphics driver from the graphics card manufacturer's website.
