HMD and Monitor in same GPU?
My current setup has the Lenovo HMD plugged into my GPU and the monitor plugged into the motherboard graphics hdmi. I currently cannot run SteamVR apps in the HMD only the SteamVR home and rooms. Do you think by moving my monitor to my GPU as well (would require me purchasing a DisplayPort cable) would help with getting the SteamVR apps to run on my HMD?

Are the steam apps showing up on your other monitor?
I run both on the same GPU.

On my laptop, a geforce 1050, runs pretty good, with the exception of the steam house.

On my desktop, It's better. I can plugin my vr on the hdmi, and my monitors on the displayport cable.

I had issues running a displayport -> hdmi cable though.

Actually it looks like another user here had an issue trying to use the mix of integrated video + video card. He had to use both on the video card and evertything worked fine.

I've exactly the same problem. My monitor only has 2 hdmi inputs, so i plug it into the integrated gpu and i plug the hmd to the gtx1060. I may try a dvi to hdmi adapter. However i'm first looking for a parameter change because steamvr home works well

Checkout my post here.

Some games make the mistake of not using the correct graphics adapter for their VR rendering. If you find this is the case based on the log files I mentioned, I suggest you submit some feedback to the game developers. In the meantime, you can make sure your HMD and main monitor use the same graphics adapter to get around it.

I had this problem (GTX 1080)... put the display (Display Port) and the HMD (HDMI) into the card and all is well.
