Issue: How to open SteamVR dashboard?

Expected: Open SteamVR dashboard.
Actually: SteamVR suspend and open Mixed Reality dashboard

I tried SteamVR preview on Acer devkit. It is really well for playing SteamVR games.
But one problem found.
I push system button in SteamVR because I want to open SteamVR dashboard.
However, Acer headset returns to Mixed Reality Portal and opne MR dashboard.

How do you access the application menu in SteamVR games? I can't find a button mapped to that on the new controllers?

The basic controls in games are controlled by the app developer but the high level system controls are as follows:
Click down the left analog thumbstick to bring up the Steam Dashboard.
Click down the right analog thumbstick to switch your controller handedness (older SteamVR titles may have been designed for identical Vive controllers that weren't specific to left and right handedness).
Use the Windows button to return to the Windows Mixed Reality home.

Our application menu button is between the touchpad and the thumbstick and is mapped to the application menu button on the Vive. The left thumbstick is mapped to the Vive's System Button. If pressing the application menu button doesn't open the menu in a particular game, but the Vive's does, please let us know.

i am having the some issue with my samsung odyssey controller. pushing down left thumpstick doesnt do anything

i tried using developver mode to emulate the controller but no luck. steam dashboard doesnt show up

Same problem here and I have no idea why. It used to work and for some reason just stopped working. I have tried uninstalling steamvr and the MR steam preview multiple times and no dice. Unfortunately, I've heard about this same problem with Vive owners in the past so may be more steam related than WindowsMR but at this point, I have no idea since I haven't been able to fix it yet.

Disable the chaperone on Steam, I think that that did it for me.

Ok...I fixed it! Aaannnd...it was pretty stupid. I literally went into the steamvr options under developer and checked the "enable steamvr dashboard" or whatever checkbox. *sigh* Anyway...hope this helps someone else. I have no idea how it got unchecked but at least it was simple.

My dashboard comes up, but how do I interact with it? There's no "laser pointer" when I point the controller at the dashboard, I even tried using the keyboard and mouse, nothing. Is there an alternative ways to launch Steam VR games in WMR?

Steamvr Home not responding.
the room is loaded Steam VR Home, but after a second it flies and closes again and so constantly, what should I do ?!

Oh, thank you so much! I called the Steam Dashboard twice accidentally and couldn't figure out how I did it, but I had been searching for it desperately to quit games that have no Quit option. I hadn't noticed you can also *press* the thumbstick :D
