Discussing reincarnation
Can someone break down reincarnations for me? I thought the idea was more size and trial points means better inherits but all of my amazing reincarnations have been with mediocre trials or having died early. While 1.2 with champion trials always gets me crap rolls.

Luck and stuff
Reincarnation is basically the game takes away your Dino and mates it with an exact copy trails and size basically reduces chances for getting negative inherits like - 1 brawler etc from what I have been told

trials before reincarnating try to get as many trials done 90% + helps a ton. Trials are important for reincarnating . What I do too when I reincarnate is get as much trials done then I sacrifice myself at the alter of my pledge . hope . This helps. So anything less than 90% higher chance of negatives.. Thbran is right is you kind of mate with your copy XD but that effects your skin. Hope this helps you

Is GP important at all for reincarnation ? Or is it simply based on trials ?

Growth is the critical factor for determining inherits of offspring. At 1.2 if you mate with another 1.2 your offspring will have ~9 inherits, +/-1 or 2. This increases with growth. I haven't really tested it thoroughly or anything but GP doesn't seem to give more inherits reliably. You aren't going to get much if any additional inherits beyond ~9 even with 10 GP if you're still 1.2 mating with 1.2.

but mating and reincarnating is 2 differant things.

I beleive it's just based on Trials. I also notice that inherits may changes too so you might get +1 surefoot one one life then reincarnate and end up with differant ones..

I was replying to the person who asked whether GP was important for reincarnation, but no, they're not really two different things. You're mating with a copy of yourself with reincarnation, so whatever tiny benefit GP has in terms of inherits, your reincarnated egg will presumably benefit from that. But growth and trials are the overriding factors for how many inherits and negatives (if any) a reincarnated dino has.
Okay, for inherits, this is what I got. I reinc at 2.8, which was almost 2.9, having all my trails done. I got 17 inherits from the reincarnation in total from all the inherit stages. I hope this helps you realize that if you are 1.2 1.3 reins, you are setting the bar pretty low, IMO. I've done this on two dinosaurs so far, both of which are +16 or better inherits. So, I honestly believe that size had a hidden factor in there somewhere.
