One day maybe you guys will understand what 'gaslighting' is, since you're already doing it as is.
Calling people out for rudeness isn't gaslighting but go off.
Well, I have 2k hours in the game as well. I wouldn't say I'm a casual player, but I'm not ultra competitive about it either. But I can see what you mean about people logging out when bigger creatures log on.
There's a good number of people who are enjoying the patch more than ever from the balance changes as well, and technically larger creatures got a buff with a smaller and faster hitbox, even if the really big ones lose a few points due to the new curve.
A lot of this post is about the party list which I do agree with however, and the simple way to fix that will probably be to let EVERY creature have an invite button, but only allow the game to ACCEPT the correct and compatible species, much like how Path of Titans handles it.

It has a lot to do with how the devs handled this patch for lots of people tbh. This patch really was not a “balance” patch in my mind. I’ve got around 2k hours myself. I’m not super hardcore but I’m not casual either and I just gotta say this patch was not it.
1. Not only does a smaller model mean a smaller hitbox, it also means a smaller weakness for large Dino’s. Being big SHOULD come with vulnerability.
2. A 2.6+ Rex can now still fit in every single cave on the AP map. Idk about rival but I’d assume it’s nearly the same too. This means caves are no longer safe for smaller creatures overall from the huge behemoths.
3. A 3.0+ Sai on the server I play on lost 16 talent points. That’s not “just a few” that’s enough to affect gameplay even for a large creatures.
Maybe rather than slowing down model scaling starting at 1.2 it could have been done at a growth such as 2.0. So people still have the option to look big but not as massive as before. This is a better example of a compromise for the community which it feels the devs have ignored.
Also the game became even more of a grind fest than before with no new content. The previous growth cap was 3.8 for talents. Now it’s 4.9. Also the devs are adding in Elder morphs that require you to get to 3.0/4.0 growth anyway? It’s all very contradictory to me. They want players not to grind to max the skill trees and then introduce ♥♥♥♥ like this that’s gonna take massive amounts of grinding to get to even on boosted growth servers.
I feel like this patch could have been done better, introduced differently and compromises could have been made. A shift in talent points without having to increase max growth would have been nice.
Reincarnation being fixed would have been a great step for people who struggle and for solo players cause as it stands reincarnation is a huge risk with nearly no reward. I also feel like the abandoned eggs were a great step. The other stuff, not so much.
