I'd get it.

But please join a community server first, and explore the game through there.

If you want chaos play Official servers.

Compared to the other dino sim games out there, is the more mechanic heavy. If you want more to your gameplay, you should definitely consider BoB. Visually, it isn't the most appealing however.

But at least you can turn the neon colors off which helps a lot.

What i recommend is what Streamers play the game on Twitch. Ask them what they think of the game, if it's worth it, and other questions before you buy something you could want to request a refund from.

Personally cant recommend it
People who are longer in the game will destroy you, doesnt even matter what dino you play
Best chances for yourself isnt starting out as one of the dinos, but rather beeing nested by one of the lead groups on the server and also staying in those groups
Otherwise your just screwed
You can keep an eye on the progress of the game and then decide for yourself

Really depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a game to run around as a dinosaur, have a bit of fun, and don't actually care if you die repeatedly, then it's a pretty decent game. It's pretty enough, and has a pretty good core survival loop.

If however, you're interested in not dying constantly, and have any sort of life outside of this singular game, I can't recommend it. Perma death from dying, combined with power that is tied directly to how long you play, and how many people are in your clique, leads to pretty predictable gameplay.

I would recommend it, overall there's more mechanics and gameplay than games like TI. Every creature has its own niche, and there are several types of servers. My main is ptera - it grows fast, can snatch eggs, and can travel the map incredibly fast, even though it isn't strong. But some players prefer hunting or aquatic or herd-based gameplay, and there are creatures for that too. You could join a realism server, where there are rules, or a chill server, where nobody attacks each other, or a combat server, where it's close-quarters tiny-map combat and you spawn as an adult, or you could play on a regular life cycle server. And if you want to customize your playstyle to be more you, that's what the talent tree is for.
Overall, it's a versatile, social, and pretty fun game. It doesn't have to be a massive time sink if you don't want it to be. Plus, it gets comparatively a lot of updates.
So yes, I would say buy it, if you like casual, social not-quite-realism with a lot of options for gameplay, it's a good game.

Id reccomend it and definately not path of titans. if your looking for mechanics, beasts of bermuda is your go to. if your looking for graphics, the isle is better. if your looking for a game thats like the isle day 1 where nothing makes sense and everyone is either a hypo or a crying velo, then go to path of titans because thats the state its in rn (I own all 3)

Honestly, I second this, 100%.
Also, being KOS'ed by big players who did so because "they just can" or are "fishing for salt"is VERY common, the faster you get used to it the better.

Don't play this game if you're a type of person who gets upset easily, that's for sure.

you shouldnt buy this, better yet refrain yourself from buying any animal survival game. The entire subgenre seems to be cursed with toxicity and balancing issues, but then again I play Sea of Thieves with my girlfriend but even that game is more friendly compared to this :tropicalfish:
