Glimmers and shimmers were never meant to be super common.
Owners of the glimmer and shimmer skins (people who can use the skins on fresh-spawn dinos) can still consistently pass down their glow, but if you do not own the skin, your chances of passing it down via nesting are significantly lower. It's still possible, but now it is much more rare.
Pixie is a term that refers to the Color Shift effect, which is its proper name. Color Shift (pixie) is applicable to ALL shimmers and glimmers, and is not rare or special at all among them. The name Pixie actually comes from someone's OC.
rexes, apatos, and acros are always glimmer, i never understood how they spread so fast on every server. it'll be nice to see other skins for once
If you want to glow so badly, find a skin owner who will nest you or work to participate in the events yourself to earn them.
