night vision?
is there anyway to get night vision or something to actually see during the night instead of logging

Hmm, on my game it never gets dark enough to be a problem like that.

Same. Using the default gamma. No issue seeing at night unless when in a cave like you'd expect.

set gamma to 4 or 3

You find it in your graphics settings right were screen res and render scale are.

Press the ~ button to open the command window in game. Type gamma 4 (what works best for me). You can set gamma to any number. The lower it is, the darker and the higher the number, the brighter. You usually only need to set it between 1-4.

will it only work for night or will it make day time brighter aswell?

Of course. Just like adjusting your monitors gamma.
