Velos are OP and kill the game
Imagine a chicken that can kill an alligator... Welcome to Beasts of Bermuda world where apex's are the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to be ♥♥♥♥ed by the fluffy chickens!

1 Velo can kill 1 Rex just by keeping itself behind and biting rex's foot and you can't do ♥♥♥♥ about it as a rex. You can't outrun it, you can't hit it back, you can't stomp it! Its not even a thing in this game!

You would think: that big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just have to stomp that pesky chicken, right? RIGHT?! Wrong! Stomp exist in the game, but not for rexi, nope. Because f u! Suffer, fool! Hahaha!

Then you would think: well, rex could walk backwards and still be able to bite to better defend itself, also minimizing possible angle of enemy attack, right? Right?? Wrong! Again, this game mechanic already exist in the game, but not for rexi, nope. Because f u again! Enjoy crouching and circling around in desperate attempt to bite your enemy, and then die you idiot! Hahaha!

Velo does tremendous amount of damage for its size to, a presumably King of the Jungle, Tyrannosaur. 122 damage per bite! So, it takes 25 seconds to kill a 1.2 rex... For 1 velo... Imagine that there will be 3 or 5 of them. Almighty rex will go down in seconds without any ability to counter.

And you know how time-consuming is to grow 1.2 Rex? It takes 2-3 ♥♥♥♥ing days! How do you think, how much time it takes to grow a full Combat tree spec velo? 4 ♥♥♥♥ing hours!

Really cool balance! Instead of playing, I'm sitting here, on this forum, wasting my time to express my deep frustration, that nobody cares, just because some Dev decided that it be cool if velos will be able to murder anything on the server. Nice.

TL;DR; Don't waste your time to grow big stuff fellas... Play Velociraptor! You'll be Gods among the other dinos! And don't worry about nerfs. Devs already commented that velos don't need to be nerfed, they are just fine. Well, maybe there's a bug, you know, that makes ONE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MECHANIC THAT SUPPOSE TO COUNTER THESE TYPE OF SITUATIONS NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But they are fine. Shoo! This is an EA game, L2P, n00b e.t.c!

For context the velos that killed you were experienced, nested, 1.2+ combat builds, not *all* velos are like that
Nothing is meant to be untouchable either, it really sounds like you think velo shouldn't be able to touch an "apex" in general
A velo can die in 1 or 2 hits depending on whether sturdy wants to be nice, one bite from a rex and you're either dead or your health is too low to risk going in again without getting yourself killed
The devs know about the stress issue at larger growths

And technically they're only killing one server ;)

How dare a Velociraptor be skilled enough to kill a Tyrannosaurus rex, which should be totally untouchable just because it's a Tyrannosaurus rex. /s

In all seriousness though, that's..pretty much how it goes for everything, my friend. Almost everything has the capacity to kill the other species--or at least stand a chance--even the small Velociraptors. That's just how the devs wanted this game to work, to make it more interesting. Would you rather have the small creatures be totally useless and have the servers be nothing but unkillable T.rex gods?

Also, like DJZ above said, those Raptors were specifically nested in to have amazing talents, and are all decently sized. Not all Raptors are so skilled or so strong, and definitely not invincible. They have all kinds of weaknesses, it's just up to you to figure them out.

The game is not realistic, and no creature is untouchable.

I suggest you do what I did and spend some time in combat mode. Someone always picks velo eventually, so you get plenty of opportunities to learn the matchup. It really helps.

You seem upset.

I can feel the salt:steamsalty: seething out of this post, try practicing combat at all and this won't be that hard to beat, you are basically saying the velociraptors should suffer under the thumb of Rexes and apexes, realistically, yes they would, but this is a game, and if they were nerfed, then your death would just be slower.

You don't know how to kill a single velo? Yeah, understandable, they are noob killers and they easily prey upon the weak and unaware, which by your salt seem to be, however, this is why you join groups. Also the devs are working on an anti ankle biting defense for rexes

Oh boy. So a clearly superior player kicked your butt...big whoop. Welcome to literally every multiplayer game ever. As said above pretty much everything can kill everything in this game if you really know what you're doing. All you can do is just respawn and get better.

this discussion is saltier than the dead sea

(We aren’t making an anti velo mechanic for rexes at this time. Rexes have one already. If you both look down and use the bite down at the same time you can literally bite between your legs. We added this for defense against small things and it’s very effective if you know how to use it.)

oh wait, I though that was still WIP

No it’s not as far as I know.

Alright then,

let's close this off by acknowledging this is basically saying TF2's scout should be nerfed because while there is ton of evidence that if you can hit the scout, salty players say scout is OP because they "can't hit him", while the only thing that is saving him from being completely dead is speed and his size, same thing with the velo.

In your own words Sharpsword, L2P n00b

If they get on your tail, how do you get around to them? Lol, because there is no way to spin in place, so you have to make small runs and the raptor will stay on your tail. What do then? :squirtmeh: New to game, just asking. Also loving the game so far.

If you're getting attacked by Raptors, run to water. Even if it's shallow water that you can stand in, the Raptors will more often than not be forced to swim if they get into it because they're so tiny in comparison, slowing them down and giving you time to turn around and kill them.

Alternatively if there's no water nearby, you can also try running forward and immediately hitting the brakes so they'll end up in front of you.
