(And one can infer something about the Sensation ascension also. :-)
But I dislike things that I don't understand though
"The office job from Cultist Simulator [...], it drains your ambition, your very soul, with each passing day at work, lures you in with easy recognition and monetary rewards, until you might just break and leave the dangerous and volatile pursuit of the esoteric arts behind for its promise of stability and certainty. Slowly, gently, until you grow old and die, your life and dreams been taken away by nothing more than mundane necessities and comforts. There is nothing less eldritch than this, and still it makes me afraid much more than anything[...]."
And reading how people accidentially slip into this ending, while I sympathise with the frustration caused by it, is just such a beautifully constructed pitfall that mirrors quite nicely the concept itself, not going out with a dramatic crescendo, but to fade away without even noticing until it is too late, just because it was - for a moment - convenient to not pay attention and just let yourself carry by the flow. I wonder if all of this was intended.
