Uses for Spintriae?
I've been playing for a while now (Forge victory down, working on Grail), and I just found a gold spintria for the first time, which leaves me a little puzzled as to the potential uses for them. To the best of my knowlege, the only real uses for spintriae are these:

- Paying a human tutor (a one-off charge, and not really worth it except maybe for Aramaic)
- Fixing a broken tool (I've only seen this need bronze and silver, not gold or iron)
- Selling at the auction house for funds (I would, but who knows? I might need them)
- Using their base aspects for rites and rituals (if they're my only option, I'd better be desperate)

With the exception of the brooken tools, there's nothing that makes these really seem all that useful, especially where there's some denominations I've never seen required. Has anyone else found other uses for them that I've missed?

That's the only uses I've come up with, but I use selling them at the auction house to basically replace actual work sources, by mid game, usually.

Learn Aramaic, cash them in but keep one of each type
I wonder if I should be cashing in most of my useless tools

You can sell gold spintriae at an auction for an amount of cash that should last till you ascend. The other possible use is as a Lantern ingredient, but that's very niche. That's it, gold spintriae are in general less useful than a random rare book.

Honestly it all depend they are must for your grail ascension since you need it for your path of power.

Cool cool, glad I didn't miss anything! I didn't honestly find them super vital for my grail ascension, though I got impatient waiting for the Aramaic guidebook to drop so I had it tutored, and they were definitely key for some of the late-game shenanigans I did wind up getting up to. Instead of selling them all, I'd strongly recommend hoarding your bronze and silver in case you plan on entering the peacock door more than a few times

I was mainly just worried that there was some massive function I was missing out on with them, like an extra hidden market or something, but I'm sure more uses will crop up in later updates/DLC

Nah, no hidden uses yet. Just an alternative path to a few things like languages, etc

One thing I've learned from this topic is that I get really unlucky finding books that teach languages.

For example, up until a few minutes ago, I didn't know there was a book that'll let you learn Aramaic. I always had to spend to get tutored.

That's fair, past Latin, Greek, and Sanskrit, everything is a random drop from expeditions, so I'm 100% in agreement on tutoring whenever you run out of readable books.
