Finished the Incursus. Some questions about other paths.

So the apostle is the new game + super hard mode right? It says it's always available after finishing the lantern path. So if I try and fail it will still be there? If I try the detective and the young noble and get the power and sensation then will that lock up all 3 path slots? That's kinda unfortunate because it feels like there are a bunch more career starters that I wanna play with.

I perhaps played a little too cautiously because I expected danger around every corner, and thought my doctor wasn't the sort to give herself over to the whims of things she didn't understand so quickly, so I just kept exploring and studying rather than advancing the mark. I had summoned demons to loot port noon before moving on to the horned gate. (all the demons except the voiceless dead, those NEVER obeyed me.)

I was actually pretty surprised that was so close to the endgame when I got there. I never got to upgrade my headquarters. I never saw any rivals. I just straight up forgot to look for love (I am drawn to Clovette, who wields her joy like a hammer.)

But it was exceptionally interesting anyway. I loved the story and the lore. My table was almost entirely covered with cards at the end.

I think I'll take a week off so I stop dreaming about Cultist Simulator (and stop leaving it running overnight. Oops) but I kinda hope I can take a few stabs at more reckless careers and get a few of the other achievements before tackling the super hard new game + apostle mode. Looking at the achievements I think I wanna try to turn myself into a drauger! No idea how that even happens.

And thanks for the support from the community. (like when I didn't understand how the hunters worked)

If you do a minor victory and don't choose the apostle legacy immediately after, you must go back through the minor victory to get it again. If you do choose the apostle legacy immediately after, once you're done, it goes away.

It's pretty hard to get rivals without Detective legacy; I think you have to piss off a follower fairly badly and it's hard to piss them off by accident.

Headquarters currently cannot be upgraded and is mainly a placeholder. More planned for later though.

There is an easy way to generate Rivals - just talk to the Hunter about Lantern or Winter Lore. It does not always succeed, but if it does - you just got yourself a rival!.. Why have you done that?!
