Can't upgrade Skill, Bug?

So, I came back to the game after a (very) long pause, and I can't seem to manage to upgrade my skills in my games.

For example, I used 2 "vitality" in study in order to gain "Skill: A Stronger Physique", but then, when I use 4 "vitality" in order to create 2 "Vitality: A Lesson Learnt", and put my skill in Study along with my two "Lessons Learnt", it doesn't permit me to press start, the button staying grayed out.
There also aren't more slots for Lessons Learnt, and I have this problem with every skill.

Is that a bug, or a new feature of some kind? How does one upgrade their skills now?

Is this a new save, or one from multiple patches ago? If the latter, you may want to start over.

Otherwise you put the skill in first then add the Lessons Learnt, yes.

Yeah, and it doesn't work. Is there a hidden requirement, like having upgraded your desire or something along those lines?

Just erased my save (couldn't progress very far anyway) to start a new one as an aspirant to see if it was a feature of the Priest or some such, but no, it is impossible to advance skills beyond their very first level no matter the heritage, and verifying the integrity of my files, everything seems in order.

So I'll try deinstalling and reinstalling, but it may be a bug of one of the updates?

Alright, so if anyone has the same bug, deinstalling and reinstalling the game did the trick for me.
