I'm not sure if adding anything effects the dancing job as far as funds go, it seems to always pay the same. I guess the dancing job is mostly just for getting stuff for the change desire.
Commissions are probably the fastest way to make money. Their base yield works out to around 5.4(6...) funds per 60 seconds, but you could get more or less depending on how lucky or unlucky you actually are at the auction house. They also require a lot of clicking. Glover and Glover's top job is almost as good, and can actually surpass commissions if the commissions are very unlucky (no extra bidding), but have the disadvantage of drawing notoriety. You could argue that commission mystique is an added bonus as it can keep a hunter busy if you have no notoriety on the table but are waiting on, say, damning evidence to expire.
The other great thing about commissions is that you can pause whenever you want with no repercussions and use your work verb for other stuff, then resume commissions. This applies to painting as well.
Painting used to be the king of moneymaking, but the new system tones it down a lot. It's still a great job.
Commission's downside is it occupies the Talk verb and prevents you from also getting cultists working (usually bad, but Forge cults you normally want your Reshapers working due to the low risk and lack of notoriety) so it blocks off a secondary revenue stream. In that regard, other jobs are better.
That answers most of the odd jobs. The rest being the medium job which I think is just a bit random, and the priest job which I think gives the same rewards with a chance of also granting fervor which gives an additional reward.
Most of the extra jobs seem to be used mainly for their victory, rather than for funds and rewards.
I could probably get them earlier if I played a bit faster and more dangerously, but I tend to get most of the cult members first, usually because I'll end up missing someone I feel I need, like a winter or knock member and the game just decides to give me every other member first.
