Any way to get rid of Spencer Hobson?
This guy is weird. He's immune to all my summoned creatures, and in my last game he killed all my edge and winter minions who were sent after him. He seems invulnerable.

So this game, I just use my Moth minions to destroy his evidence, but they're slowly getting injured too. Eventually they'll start dying.

I kind of feel like, after a while of not succeeding at arresting anybody, Hunters should be pulled off the case and replaced by a different one. This would be a nice change of pace throughout the game, and give another path for finding people to capture or drive insane. Instead, once I get Hobson, that's just the end. He'll be my Hunter forever, and there's no way to get rid of him.

Unless I'm missing something. Am I missing something?

Enough summons could do it, eventually, but for Mystic/Tenacious, it's not really worth it.

You can also do it, eventually, using Edge hirelings (I would never use Followers for killing Hunters, since it bypasses wounds and goes straight for killing the Follower).

The best option, if you can find any, is poison.

The last-ditch effort would be using the highest level Physical skill with Strength focus, or high-level Power Desire. These have the 'Murder' aspect, which has a 30% chance of killing the target (though I suspect Tenacious still works against it). If you fail, they get suspicious and won't ever talk to you again. You can talk to your Followers about the Hunter, but you can't talk to the Hunter directly anymore. This means you can't try poison anymore after using this option.

If Hunter is not Grim or Idealistic you can use high-level Winter(non-idealistic) or Lantern(non-grim) lore to drive him insane. Don't try with low-level lore, as failed attempt can make him immune to this kind of attack. I'm not sure, but think 8 would be enough for high chance. And if one lore didn't work, the opposite would work with higher chance
Also is he Erratic? Without this trait you can easily subvert him by being very careful when evidence is on board and using talk with Heart followers about your cult to destroy Notoriety. And erratic Hunters don't create Evidence as often.
Poison might be better, but not easily found.

They don't make Hunters insane anymore. The recipe that turns cards into "Lunatics" turns Hunters into Rivals, instead. Not recommended.

Leave my boy Spencer alone yo. Why would you want to harm him? He is any cultist's best friend. Instead of putting you on trial, he will play darts or take very long naps. You might need to paint a little to help him, but it really is smooth sailing. Just let him be.

Hirelings will eventually do the job, and you don't care if they fail.
