How to get rid of a corpse?
Hello, I need some pointers on how to perform a rite that uses a corpse, I read the forum and wiki but its not working and literally giving me a headache :lunar2019piginablanket:

I have Sunset Rite, Rite of the Maps Edge, Rites of the Crucible Soul, Rite of the Watchman's Sorrow.

I know that clicking a blank card space highlights eligible cards and theoretically understand that as long as I meet the minimum requirement of formulas, it doesn't matter which lore/ingredient/influence I put as long as the sum fulfills that requirement number.

So I don't understand why I can't use a corpse in, say, a sunset rite+winter lore(8)+an assistant or offering of moth (5), this leaves no place for me to put the corpse in and a similar situation occurs for the other 3 rites...am I doing something wrong, or perhaps I don't have the right rite?

Corpses are Ingredients, not Tools. You need a Rite that uses Ingredients. You can tell by clicking on the Corpse and clicking on the Aspects that show up on the info card.

Tools have a little Knife icon. Ingredients have that little Flask.

Ah, I see...thank you for the explanation. I suppose I don't have the correct ritual for it yet then...it was just confusing because none of my rites have a slot for "flask/ingredient" but the text description would still say "i can summon a corpse":lunar2019shockedpig:

Yeah. You can tell what they take by clicking the empty slot. The top-right note will have the Aspects it takes. Mostly useful for the "offering" slot that doesn't otherwise tell you.

And yes, Ingredient-Rites tend t show up later in the game now that loot isn't randomized anymore. A bit too late to make the corpse-summons super useful, but they still have their uses.

you can also use a heart folower cult busness, corpses have the same aspect as notrity/mistique so they will take and remove them in the same way.

found this out the hard way when Dorthy ate my corpse burrito that i was saving for my grail ascension (I left a note on the fridge ;-;)

Thank you for the tip and the laugh:lunar2019grinningpig:

The game has so much depth to it, I love it.

*Imagines Dorothy "explaining" the corpse burrito away to the masses"

@Spud you can also use corpses to promote followers or recruit associates, depending on what your cult is.

doesnt even realy matter, so long as you have the needed amount of aspect, any binding will do

need to get rid of a winter influence before it becomes dread but have a grail cult? so long as you have the lore high to reach the number on its own it doesnt matter and you can remove the unwanted influcence.
