Is there a way to just keep them from stacking on top of eachother despite having plenty of room?
I for one tend to put the verbs on one edge of the table, with the time verb shoved and forgotten at the very corner to rot. I keep some open space from those because of the spawning verbs from random events, and from there I arrange the rest of the cards:
- stats, resources, cult, HQ, desire, locations, hunters, mansus doors on the center top;
- lore, cult members, ingredients, tools for each aspect arrange in order for the subversion cycle at the center and bottom center (takes up the majority of the table)
- histories lore, expeditions, to the upper right
- decaying cards, useless junk, other temporary stuff shoved at the back corner.
The left is where I put all my verbs. Naturally, beneath the Explore verb, I put my Exploration locations and the Secret Histories that unlock more exploration opportunities.
The middle is, more or less, my knowledge. My stats, my Ways, my foreign languages. Also here are my patrons and their payments, because I don't really have another good place for them.
To the right are all my Cult stuff, organised by their Aspects. My Cultists, my occult Lore, my peculiar possessions.
The Ecdysis Club and Morland's Closed Bookstore are tucked away in the upper corner there because I don't bother with them.

I neatly organize my cultists according to their aspect and then the game decides to plunk a card down in the middle and all my cards scatter
