it seems a bit odd to me that i get notoriety when i make a painting that i can never show.

I think they mean the special paintings you make with special paints. You can never dare to show those... but you're running a cult. There's usually someone with loose lips.

It's easy to assume that word gets out in the occultist community or to the suppression bureau. After all, a painting of an Hour seems like something that would make ripples in the mystical community, regardless of whether you show it publically.

You are overtaken by your own power and create a work of art that peirces the veil. In the occult community, people recognize these things really easily (think of when you talk about an aspect to recruit followers, those who know the words understand). Naturally, the Lovecraft ATF catched wind too, they know how these things work.

i was talking about the art that you keep as tools, and it says you cant show it to anyone, so i'd think that would include the mystic community as well.
