Discovering Locations for Expeditions

I have been using both my followers and my own health on explore, hoping to get expeditions.

I have yet to get one after two hours in on this third playthrough. I don't recall it being that hard! Do I just have bad RNG luck or did I forget something like you can only use Secret History lore to find expeditions?

You can only use Secret history is the find location for expeditions

I used an Occult Scrap to find my first expedition, and similar cards to find others.

If you progress through the Ways in the Dream, around the Stag's riddle you will uncover a permanent source of Secret History lore. I'd imagine that at some point you might exhaust all possible locations, but there are quite a few.

After you exhaust all possible locations, some of them will repeat themselfs, just like The Forsaken Reach [FR] which is the only available option after you discover the rest of Capital's locations. Right now I have 3 FR card on a table.

Some basic books give you occult scraps which you can use for making expeditions, or you can merge them like other lore to create harder but more rewarding ones.

Use Secrets aspect Lore with Explore to find Locations.
Venturing through Doors into the Mansus can provide you with said Secrets.
