Can't "Talk" to potential new cultists. Bug?
So I started a cult, and have my first follower. Now, however, I try to bring in new followers and the "Talk" button accepts them but I can't press Start as it's greyed out. In the text box it says something about "once you've started a cult" to bring in acquaintences. It's like...I DID start a cult. Why can't I indoctrinate anybody else now? Is it a bug? The two I've tried to talk to but can't are a named acquaintence and a hanger-on.

This isn't explained very well in the hint text. Do this:

- Talk to your Cult card (usually has a hooded figure on it)
- Should open three more boxes to fill
- Put the recruit in the first new box
- Put a secret in the second
- Put Reason or Passion in the third

Should recruit her nice and neat.

It's a bit non-intuitive; you have to put the card you got for starting the cult into the 'talk' button first. Once you do that, then you'll get slots to put up to three things in. You don't need to fill all of them though; for recruiting, just put in the person you want to recruit, and a matching lore.

Also, @Zorlond, you don't need to add reason or passion. You can, but it consumes them permanently. It's not useful for recruiting new cultists, but it can potentially come in handy later.

Ah, didn't realize this wasn't necessary. Does explain where my Reason vanished to in one game...

Yeah, the first time I started doing that, I ate through my entire stock of reason without realizing it actually consumed it. If something has the 'ingredient' tag (the vial with bubbles in it), then using it as trappings will consume it. Using artifacts (knife tag) or summoned creatures won't consume them. It actually mentions this if you click on the slot, but what it doesn't mention is that your stats count as ingredients...

And this is why it needs the sacrifice icon to pop up if you slot an ingredient in it, or just split Trappings into 2 separate slots.
