Hiding the evidence?
When I speak to a society member, I am told I can speak to them about an inspector (to murder them), a... something, I forget, or evidence. Fair enough, so, in order to get rid of evidence, I need to send a cultist to deal with it, right? Except, wrong, if I try to speak to them about evidence it just times out to "Nothing, then." as if I had not spoken to them about anything at all. How -do- I hide the evidence?

It seems to have a thing for tentative evidence, but damning evidence doesn't seem to work yet.

Tentative also gets the same reaction. Might need a follower with the correct aspect as they do have different actions, but I haven't been able to get it to work.

Granted you could just allow it to go to trial and throw a pawn at the baying masses then murder the hunter afterwards...

Yeah I've had the same issue, most of my games end because I rack up so much evidence and there doesn't seem to be any action that can remove it. The only thing that has worked has been murdering the Hunter, but it seems like there should be another way.

A Disciple with the Moth aspect can get rid of tentative evidence for you, but there's a chance they fail and die, too. A Believer may be able to do it, but I haven't tried, and since they have less skill than a Disciple, they're probably less likely to succeed. Might be easier to just recruit a bunch of minions and use them as scapegoats for any trial that might turn up.

I don't think I've gotten a Moth Disciple yet, so I'll have to try that :)

As for recruiting, I can never seem to actually get new people, I just get more mystique and notoriety, which then hastens the trial as the evidence racks up.

Only search for new members or turn in dissertations just after an 'investigation cycle'. This gives mystique enough time to vanish.

That makes sense, thanks for the help :)

All Moth believers have a 70% chance to destroy evidence, regardless of their level. Cultists can also only destroy tentative evidence, for the moment. If you've managed to summon a creature with Moth, they can destroy damning evidence, but still with a 70% chance
