"Secret" Headquarters
I recently moved to the Mithraeum HQ and noticed something odd. One of its aspects is Secret, which says, "This place is easily overlooked. [Use of this card will cause Reputation cards to disappear.]"
All I could think is, that sounds awesome! How do I do that? I haven't found anything yet. I know you can explore HQs for influences, but I've done that a couple times here and haven't had it consume Rep cards, so that doesn't appear to be it. Anyone else see this?

Literally just after posting this explored my HQ and had "The Benefits of Privacy" box pop up. This box can suck up and consume Rep cards.

Ask a question, get an answer I guess. I'll leave this here in case anyone else wonders. It's clearly not certain to show up, but the box lasts for a time, 180 seconds it looks like, so there is that.

It seems to be random. Not sure if it's based on the explore option or just pops up sometimes when you have a notoriety around.

I am reasonably certain certain that it's an Induction. Meaning there's a chance to fire every time the card is used. Like how sometimes you'll get Restlessness if you use any card with Moth aspect, or Glimmering for Grail, or Vitality for Heart.

That's been my experience now. Even when I used it for research the box appeared once, which surprised me. Kind of annoying that it's so beyond your control, but then a lot of things are beyond your control in this, so it's not surprising.

I just gave Candle-Lit Mithraeum a try as a HQ, and it makes a nice difference.

Not only will it will grab and consume Rep cards, but it also has an impact on how successful hunters are in converting Rep to Evidence. You'll see different messages in the Season of Suspicion.
