Bear in mind there's no point in this until you can perform a Rite with at least 36 Lantern intensity to complete your ascension. You can keep "eating" prisoners once you reach the seventh mark in order to maintain it, but it's easier to wait.
Did it grab your dedication an then searched for something else?
Is the Watchman a merciful hour?
Probably you will have to answer at least one of this questions with "no".
Season of Ambitions may also take rivals or other people with... well, too much ambition. Make sure they are occupied with something else at this time. And something else might just be hovering over the table in your hand, really...
Bear in mind, again, that your ambition will degrade should the time come around and you don't have a prisoner to feed it. That is, it's not enough to just upgrade it to the sixth mark; you need to keep feeding it prisoners to maintain it at the sixth mark until you have everything else you need to complete your ascension.
(Also I realize I said "seventh mark" in my previous post. Sorry, I haven't played this in a while.)
