How can i reach far islands?
Hi.... maybe i missed something.... maybe you can help.

I played the tutorial, and after that i started the campaign. (humans)
so... ok i connected about a dozend islands and have many stuff everything is good in + and i want to fulfill the target of the first campaign mission. It sais "find xyz in the purple circle"

Ok.... and how can i reach that? it says the islands there are too far away for spells?
What can i do ?
Didn´t found a way to "build thruster on my Kingdom" to get closer xD
So what can i do ?

Please help. Game looks really cool so far. but this point... i didn´t get it

right click and then use the explore button in this area =)

ahm.... but it not works really well....
If the Named Hero is exploring, you can grab the islands.... if only the normal flying Units do the exploration, it brings nothing..... :/
And you can´t give the command explicite to him. Or is there a way to ?

If you create an explore flag heroes will go to it and explore the surrounding area a bit (especially if there's an island with treasure they can grab). They'll only do it if they can get there, though, so you might need to create some mounts for them to be able to fly. You can increase the priority on the flag if you want more heroes to go to it.

You probably mean magic range - note that when you select a spell from the bottom middle menu you can see a blue circle around the castle - this is your magic range. And it looks like that:

"Named hero" ;-) has a rare elven skill that gives him his own small magic range - so you can cast spells next to him. The range can be increased in several ways:

1. By improving the castle
2 by building a magic tower on the edge of the castle's range (the one from which you can recruit mages)
3. by gaining a magic tellurion - such an artifact protected by spirits of mages

4. And my favorite way - a little bit more advanced - mages tower on a separated island connected to the "mainland" by the Gates of Thyr with renewal (from Patchs of Progress)

Well.... I Play the first mission of the human campaign.
What means, upgrade the castle is not possible, build magic towers is not possible, magic artifacts are not there....

The only way i can do it, is the way with the exploration, and only when the named flying hero with his own cast range did the exploration.
The fact that i cant command him directly makes it horrible to use.
i figured it out, but its not a "useful way"
You need to set an exlporation point.
Than upgrade it that every unit possible will fly there, and than call back all others and only let the named flying hero do the exploration.

:/ thats a stupid way.... but it is the only possible in that mission i can use.

You can send available units, including Urias, who will provide coverage. You set the exploration flag and if Urias doesn't take interest in it, you can increase its value or cut off unwanted units from that flag. To find out who is executing the command of a given flag, just click on it. You will then see the lines connecting it to the units.

Later on you may find islands that create their own "spell zone". Then you're pretty much able to reallocate the whole map to your needs. Just use said isle as some sort of mobile outpost, maneuver it near the isle you want to manipulate. Then simply move that isle to your "base complex" of isles until it's in range of the castle's magic zone. I found it quite easy to steal the opponents islands one by one with this method in campaign. Just need to tear down any bridges connecting to that island. Then move that island to your area. AI can put down portals to send reinforcements but all in all that way you can easily clean islands of any buildings whilst also connecting them into your kingdom.

I still wish, as i can't demand it, to improve the AI regarding this part of the game. It's a bit easy to shrink the enemy down to nothing this way.
