Altar of Redemption Mission

Hello, what am I supposed to do with the Redemption Altar?

At first I thought i was supposed to go to the boss room where the templar boss with the flamming sword was. But that is not correct. I went there with the stone that makes bosses not appear. I crossed and nothing happened.

What am I supposed to do? Do I really have to beat the boss again, but with 1 health and 1 armor? :(

Please, please do not be vague, I don't care about spoilers, I just want to finish this quest already. I googled but everyone is being vague about it and I honestly don't know what am I supposed to do.

Hello Bombermans,

if you killed "The First One", a former templar soldier you can seek redemption through the redemption altar in the first room. once you get the redemption you get to finish the game with this curse in order to get a special achievement
It has the interest of forcing you to make the game completely in one run which is very interesting but the challenge is very very hard... it is simply for the achievement!
