Found a possible fix for the game not starting at all for people using RTSS:

So, as it seems the game conflicts with RTSS (Rivatuner Statistics Server), but only if the option "Stealth mode" is toggled on. This leads the game to not start at all.
As soon as it is toggled off the game launches just fine.
OR you can toggle on the option "Custom Direct3D support" if you want to use "Stealth mode", either way works.

Just in case if this seemed obvious, i did not find this mentioned anywhere.

I can indeed confirm that the issue of the game having a ctd right after the logo screen is linked to MSI afterburner/RTSS. For me it had nothing to do with stealth mode but as soon as I enabled "Custom Direct3D Support" the game no longer crashed at all for me while using MSI! Really happy to finally be able to play this amazing gem, even got it working with Reshade to produce some amazing results :)
